Sarah Clifton
Shop Manager
As one of the bubbliest members of the team here at Barkers DBS, Sarah is known as a boastful baker and enjoys regular trips to the theatre. Her friendly manner makes her an approachable manager who staff can rely on. She is responsible for ensuring our everyday business operations run as smoothly as possible so that every customer can receive the quality service they deserve here at Barkers DBS.
Glynis Robinson
Deputy Shop Manager
As deputy shop manager Glynis can be found right at the heart of the shop, ensuring every member of her team is dedicated to meeting every customer needs. Glynis also has an artistic streak and takes pride in creating our spectacular Christmas display each year. When not at work Glynis enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and taking walks with her dog Ted.
Andrew Bunn
Shop Assistant/Maintenance Man
Andrew is a very versatile member of the Barkers team. He can fix and build almost anything to do with home improvements. Andrew takes great pride in keeping the shop and the surrounding grounds clean and maintained, including our beautiful flower display. Andrew can always be relied on to help customers with home improvements jobs, making him the perfect man to go to for further advice on any project you may have.
Ian Foster
Shop Assistant
Ian is a part time member of the team but also a very valued member as he is responsible for the tools and fixings section so he is able to inform customers on how to fix, fasten and bolt anything together. Outside of work Ian can be found helping locals keep their gardens looking immaculate as well as his own, he also enjoys regular walks in the countryside.
Charlotte Harnwell
Shop assistant / Advertising
Charlotte is a full-time member of staff. Over the 4-year period that Charlotte has worked at Barkers DBS she has learnt many different aspects of the job including looking after customers, stock control, helping with customer accounts and advertising on social media.
In her spare time Charlotte enjoys socialising with friends and family and trying new restaurants.
Jemma Bruen
Office Manager
Jemma is an important member of the team as she is responsible for taking care of everything behind the scenes ensuring that the business runs smoothly day-to-day. In her spare time Jemma enjoys spending time with her family and if she can spare a quiet moment to herself there is nothing more she enjoys then getting lost in a good book.
Louis Barker
Director
Having started as a Saturday boy aged 11, Louis has seen the evolution of the business over the majority of its existence. Now responsible for the strategic direction of the business Louis is determined to ensure that it stays relevant to the needs of its customers.
